近年來氣候異常、天然資源的缺乏與企業發生的不當行為，造成企業社會責任(CSR)理念越來越受到重視，永續環境成為重大議題之一。ESG包含企業社會責任與永續發展，強調以保護環境與生態為目標。綠色經濟是達成永續發展的其中一項規劃，將減碳行動融入生活當中，也是中正大學推動社會責任USR中重要的一環。而會計結合資訊科技，打造高品質的數位審計，增強社會對於數位審計的信心，成為會計與環境永續之間的新浪潮。
Climate change, depletion of natural resources, and corporate misconduct have arisen in recent years, leading to the growing attention on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues. CSR and sustainable development are integrated into Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG), stressing environmental and ecology protection goals. A green economy is expected to foster a sustainable economy. Indeed, many actions to reduce carbons emission in daily life need to be implemented. Moreover, the integration of new information technology advantages in the accounting field by creating digital auditing to deliver high-quality audits that can be served the public interest, thus enhancing trust and confidence in society. That has become a new wave in accounting, information technology and environmental sustainability.
